How to perform Eid-ul-Adha(Bakrid) prayer(Namaz) in Home (eid Namaz ka tarika)

  Eid-ul-Adha Takbeerat

الله أكبر ، الله أكبر ، لا إله إلا الله ، والله أكبر ، الله أكبر ، ولله الحمد

Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar. La ilaha illa Llah. Wa Llahu Akbar. Allah Akbar. Wa liLlahil-Hamd.

"Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. There is no God save Him. And Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest. And to Allah belongs all praise."

      Eid is a special occasion and one of the things which makes it so is the Eid-ul-Adha(bakrid) congregational prayer(Namaz).Since this prayer comes only once a year, there is often confusion about how to perform this prayer(Namaz). Here is how to do it:

         Eid prayer consists of two units (Rakat in Arabic). The main difference in the way this prayer and any other prayer(Namaz) of two Rakat is performed is the number of Takbirs that are done.

Takbirs is an the Arabic word referring to when "Allahu Akbar" is said and the hands are raised to the ears.Make an intention of doing two Rakat behind the Imam for Eid prayer(Namaz) along with six additional Takbirs. 

The First Rakat

Step 1:  The first time, you should raise your hands and say "Allahu Akbar". This is the first Takbir of the prayer(Namaz).

Step 2: There will be 3 Takbirs ,Each time the says "Allahu Akbar", you should follow by raising your hands, then putting them on your sides.

After the third Takbir, you should put your hands on your chest, with your right hand on top of the left.

Step 3: next step to the recitation of the Holy Quran. recite Surah Al Fatiha (the first Surah of the Quran) and then another Surah.

Al-Fatiha 

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

١﴾ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَم۪ينَۙ ﴿٢﴾ اَلرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِۙ ﴿٣﴾ مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدّ۪ينِۜ ﴿٤﴾ اِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَاِيَّاكَ نَسْتَع۪ينُۜ ﴿٥﴾ اِهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَق۪يمَۙ ﴿٦﴾ صِرَاطَ الَّذ۪ينَ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْۙ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّٓالّ۪ينَ ﴿٧

              Peruse:-  Bismillaah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem. Al hamdu lil lahi rabbil 'alamin. Arrahmanir rahim. Maliki yawmiddin. Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in. Ihdinas siratal mustaqim. Siratal ladhina an'amta'alaihim, ghairil maghdubi'alaihim wa lad dhallin. Aameen.

Another Surah.

An-Náas 

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

قُلْ اَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِۙ ﴿١﴾ مَلِكِ النَّاسِۙ ﴿٢﴾ اِلٰهِ النَّاسِۙ ﴿٣﴾ مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِۙ ﴿٤﴾ اَلَّذ۪ي يُوَسْوِسُ ف۪ي صُدُورِ النَّاسِۙ ﴿٥﴾ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ ﴿٦

                 Peruse:- Bismillaah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem. Qul a’uudhi bi rabbin naas. Malikin naas. Ilaahin naas. Min sharril wawaasil khannas. Alladhee yuwaswisu fee suduurin naas. Minal Jinnati wa naas

 

    Step 4:next step says "Allahu Akbar" go into Ruku (the bowing position).

Step 5: Stand up straight and says Sami Allahu liman Hamidah (Allah hears those who praise Him), and say "Rabbana lakal Hamd" (our Lord praise be to You) in a low voice.

Step 6: next step says "Allahu Akbar" go into Sujud (prostration). You will do two prostrations as in normal prayer(Namaz).

The Second Rakat

Step 7: The next step to the recitation of the Holy Quran (first Surah Al Fatiha and another Surah.

Al-Fatiha 

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

١﴾ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَم۪ينَۙ ﴿٢﴾ اَلرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِۙ ﴿٣﴾ مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدّ۪ينِۜ ﴿٤﴾ اِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَاِيَّاكَ نَسْتَع۪ينُۜ ﴿٥﴾ اِهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَق۪يمَۙ ﴿٦﴾ صِرَاطَ الَّذ۪ينَ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْۙ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّٓالّ۪ينَ ﴿٧

              Peruse:-  Bismillaah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem. Al hamdu lil lahi rabbil 'alamin. Arrahmanir rahim. Maliki yawmiddin. Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in. Ihdinas siratal mustaqim. Siratal ladhina an'amta'alaihim, ghairil maghdubi'alaihim wa lad dhallin. Aameen.

Another Surah.

Al-Ikhlas 

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ اَحَدٌۚ ﴿١﴾ اَللّٰهُ الصَّمَدُۚ ﴿٢﴾ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْۙ ﴿٣﴾ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُواً اَحَدٌ ﴿٤

             Peruse:-Bismillaah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem. Qul hu wal lahu ahad, allahus samad, lam yalid wa lam yulad, wa lam ya kul lahu kufuwan ahad

 

    Step 8: After the recitation, before going into Ruku, there will be 3 Takbirs. . Raise your            hands after each "Allahu Akbar". After the third Takbir, go into Ruku (the bowing position).

Step 9: Stand up straight and says Sami Allah huliman Hamidah, and say "Rabbana lakal Hamd" in a low voice.

Step 10: When say "Allahu Akbar" go into Sujud. You will do two prostrations.

Step 11: After this, you sit for the complete Tashshahud.

Step 12: After the ends the prayer by turning to your face to the right first and saying "Assalamu alaikum wa Rahmatullah" and then to left and doing the same.

Step 13: Ayat al-Kursi 

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لاَ تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلاَ نَوْمٌ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَاءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاو ;َاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلاَ يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ﴿٢٥٥

            Peruse:- Bismillaah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem. Allahu la illaha illa hu. Wal Hayyul Qayyum. La te huzuhu sinetun wala nawmun. Lahu ma fissemawati wa ma fil’ardi. Men thallathiy yeshfe’u indehu illa biznih. Ya’lemu ma beyne eydiyhim. Wa ma halfehum. Wa la yuhiytune. Bishey’in min ilmihi. Illa bima sha-a wasia kursiyyuhu semavati wal’ard. Wa la yeuduhu hifzuhuma wa hu wal aliy ul aziym.

 

Attahiyyaatu

التَّحِيَّاتُ للهِ، وَالصَّلَوَاتُ، وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ. أّشَْدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

 

"Attahiyyaatu Lillaahi Wassalawaatu Wattayyibaatu Assalaamu Alayka Ayyuhan Nabiyyu Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatuhu Assalaamu Alaynaa Wa Ala Ibaadillaahis Saaliheen Ashadu An Laa ilaaha illallaahu Wa Ashadu Anna Mohammadan Abduhu Wa Rasooluhu"

   Peruse:-"All greetings of humility are for Allah, and all supplications and goodness. Harmony arrive, O Prophet, and the leniency of Allah and His favors. Harmony arrive and upon the honest captives of Allah. I give testimony there is none deserving of love yet Allah, and I take the stand Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger".

DUROOD-E-IBRAAHEEM

اللّٰہُمَ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَلٰٓی اٰلِ مُحَّمَدٍکَمَا صَلَّیْتَ عَلٰٓی اِبْرٰھِیْمَ وَعَلٰٓی اٰلِ اِبْرٰہِیْمَ اِنَّکَ حَمِیْدٌ مَجِیْدٌ اللّٰہُمَ بَارِکْ عَلٰی مُحَمَّد ٍوَّ عَلٰٓی اٰلِ مُحَّمَدٍکَمَابَارَکْتَ عَلٰٓی اِبْرٰھِیْمَ وَعَلٰٓی اٰلِ اِبْرٰہِیْمَ اِنَّکَ حَمِیْدٌ مَجِیْدٌ

 

"Allahumma Salle ‘Alaa Muhammadinw Wa’alaa Aali Muhammadin Kamaa Sallaeta ‘Alaa Ibraaheema Wa’alaa Aaali Ibraaheema Innaka Hameedum Majeed. Allahumma Baarik ‘Alaa Muhammadinw Wa’alaa Aali Muhammadin Kamaa Baarakta ‘Alaa Ibraaheema Wa’alaa Aaali Ibraaheema Innaka Hameedum Majeed".

 Peruse:-  "O Allah send peace on Prophet Muhammad and to the group of Prophet Muhammad  as you sent peace on Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) and the group of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) Indeed, you are admirable and sublime. O Allah, favor the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and the group of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) as you favored Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) and the group of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) Indeed, you are excellent and great."

Then Read the below Dua

Allahumag Firii Wali Wale Dayya Wal Ustaad'e Wal Jamee'il Mu'mineena Wal Mu'meenat Wal Muslimeena Wal Muslimat AI'Ahya'eMinhum Wal Amwaat'e Innaka Mujeebud Da'waat Birahmatika Ya Ar'hamarr'ahimeen'.
